Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of therapy that (perhaps unsurprisingly!) combines the principles of solution-focused therapy and hypnotherapy. It is a brief and goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying and building upon an individual’s existing strengths and resources to achieve positive change. It can be a useful tool in managing anxiety, with clients often reporting feeling more relaxed, more confident and find they are doing more of what they love following treatment. During a session, we work with to identify your goals and the positive changes you want to make. Then, you are guided into a state of deep relaxation, with suggestions used to reinforce positive changes in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Furthermore, this therapy aims to help you achieve your goals by empowering you to focus on solutions and positive outcomes. As opposed to dwelling on problems or negative experiences.
The therapy is typically short-term, with a focus on helping you achieve your desired outcomes as quickly and efficiently as possible. It can be used to help various forms of anxiety, including generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and phobias. As well as helping you to develop coping strategies for managing anxiety in your daily life.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy may be a standalone therapy, or as a complement to other forms of therapy or medication. Like all forms of hypnotherapy, it is important to work with a qualified and experienced hypnotherapist to ensure the best possible outcomes.
